Abstract

The objective of this article is to estimate the relative influence of the different determinants of wages in Spanish industry. Using the Model of Panel Corrected Standard Errors, a sample of Spanish industrial companies obtained from the Survey on Business Strategies between 2003 and 2015 is analysed. Among other results, it is worth highlighting the rigidity of wages to the effect of the economic cycle, while the representative factors of the worker's qualification, size and especially the capacity to create wealth of the companies in the preceding periods are basic.
